A Beautiful Old Carpentry Scribe Tool circa 1870’s.

Great old original patina with brass shined up a bit.

Nice stylized antique mustache looking inlay on the block.

Looks to be from made of Beautiful old Ebony and brass with 2 points.

One fixed, the other point adjustable with the scribe slider by turning the thumb screw on the end.

The block is also adjustable.

Just loosen the thumb screw and sliding it to the desired position.

If only the little dings and scuffs and age marks could speak.

No repairs.

It measures Aprox. 7-3/8″ long.

No visible makers marks.
